Emoji is a great tool to facilitate correspondence, with which we can convey different emotions and states without using unnecessary words. The beauty of the standard Unicode emoji set is that there are icons to represent completely different emotions, and sometimes even different intensities of the same state. For example, there are several emoji icons that can be used to convey the state of fatigue. It is about these icons that we are going to talk today.

Meaning of the Tired Emoji

So, as you can see, we’ve chosen completely different emoji that, in our opinion, best depict such an emotion as fatigue. There are both obvious options and rather ambiguous ones, however, each of these four emoji can perfectly convey your emotional state. Now let’s talk about each one separately.

😶‍🌫️ Let’s start with the most interesting emoji on our list today. The face in the clouds is perceived by many as a not very clear emoticon, so let’s pay more attention to it.

It’s more of a metaphor, a state of mind that leans more towards the feeling of being in a fog rather than a literal meaning. This emoji can mean confusion, inability to focus, forgetfulness, lack of mental clarity, someone hiding from difficulties, avoiding difficulties, loss of train of thought, or trouble finding their way. This emoji shows that the person who sends it is a bit tired and cannot make any important decision. He is in a state of confusion and concern.

😪 The second rather controversial emoji. To many, it looks like a snotty bubble coming out of the bottom of your nose, but this emoji actually stands for sleepiness, tiredness and exhaustion. And while the previous emoji stands more for moral and emotional fatigue, but this icon is more often used as a reflection of physical fatigue.

😴 Things are more obvious here. This emoji is very tired, so much so that the only thing he can think of is a good sweet sleep. In fact, this emoji is also often used to show that the person is just about to go to bed, however, for depiction of tiredness it is also perfectly suitable.

🥱 This yawning emoji could very well replace the previous one. It signifies quite the same state of fatigue, in which a person just needs to lie down and sleep. However, this emoticon can also mean that the person is just bored, or not at all interested in continuing the conversation.

The Use of the Tired Emoji

Tired Emojis

So, as we have already noticed above, the state of fatigue can be divided into physical and emotional. So can the emoji from our today’s list. If you want to show that you are very tired for a whole day of work, or after a hard workout – use an emoji with a drop of sweat or with three blue letters Zzz.

If you want to convey a state of emotional exhaustion, fatigue from an overabundance of information, or just fatigue – here is more suitable emoji with a face in the clouds, or yawning emoticon. By the way, an emoji with three Zzz’s can also be used in this context.

Conclusion

Now there are no emoticons of any kind, all kinds of different ones, and each one has its own meaning. You need to know what this or that emoticon means in order not to accidentally offend or mislead someone. So, today we drew your attention to emoji, with which you can convey the state of fatigue – both moral and physical. Of course, you can use other emoji from the standard set of Unicode, it all depends solely on your imagination and how you are used to communicate with your interlocutor. However, we have chosen both the most obvious and the most interesting emoji that convey such an emotion as tiredness.
